This place is a must visit when on a trip to Mahabaleshwar, whether short or long.
It is absolutely worth spending a few hours here, which starts of with a Funicular Train ride to the top of the hill from the entry point at the base.
It involves enjoying a slow motor vehicular journey, at a steep incline with 180° views of lush green forest and dog covered mountains.
At the top is a slow-rotsting restaurant at which I recommend to opt for their lunch or high-tea buffet. Decently priced they offer simple yet delicious items, both veg & non-veg and with a rotating view that potentially cannot be found anywhere around.
This location also houses other technological exhibits, if you can call them that, that provide a good insight into the history of the region.
The earthquake simulator should be experienced as it really gives you a first hand feel of real-time events.

It's a new facility (private) being developed on top of the hill. There is a small train to go up and down. Can view the beaty of nature around the place, Koyna river, Wilson point and unknown peaks. Other than the 360 deg view, other facilities to be developed. A binocular will add excitement to people to see the natural beauty . Amphi theater is good, but not thar exciting. A small garden and jungle is also good. Revolving restaurant is nice, but a bit costly. More more facilities and entertainment to attract people. It is one time watch, but not for a second time.

We visited this Vidyangad on 20.12.25 on seeing hoardings on road. It took us almost 2 hrs to see and enjoy all the activities. On top of the mountain it gives feeling of another world. Literally it feels like we were sitting in planet as the location is surrounded by hils. The warm welcome by all staff including lift man was amazing experience. One should visit with family and kids will definitely enjoy

Efforts of 25 years in creating such an wonderful,360 degree revolving dome of 18 m Dia X40 m hight that too on hill of 900 m.
which we have to travel on 45 degree slope in funicular trolley moves on fabricated structure.
A very thrilling and educative experience.

Visited Vidnyangad, Mahabaleshwar and had a great experience. Surrounded by forest and packed with science based attractions, the place truly lives up to its name.
The revolving restaurant and 360° auditorium were amazing also sunset is the best time to visit. The making of the artificial earthquake model was very interesting, and we even got to experience it as the floor started vibrating like a real earthquake.
They also shared about an artificial tsunami experience project, which is currently under progress. The place is eco-friendly and the staff was very polite and informative. Definitely worth visiting.

Today's visit to Vidnyangad was thrilling. Smt.Jadhav gave excellent information.The mini thali was superb. Captain Rajesh gave personal & courteous service, excellent and fast service, brilliant all the best rajesh. Kudos to the creator. His idea & implementation is beyond imagination.
We loved the Science Park and the unique Revolving Restaurant. The views are unbeatable!

This facility have 360 degree rotation view, rotating restaurent, Earth Quake simulation and selfie points along with small forest tour.

A must visit place, Hardly 1 hour from Mahabaleshwar and worth it. It has 360 degree highest view point of Mahabaleshwar and 360 degree rotating fine dining 3 course meal in less expenses what you will spend at Mapro. We spent 1700 at Mapro for a meal of two with strawberry cream, here full lunch is 600 per person and a must visit. Captain Mr Rajiv and all other staff has high class friendly service
This place gave us fantastic hospitalty and had really delicious lunch here. Captain Rajesh's service is highly recommended

The experience was wonderful. I really liked the assistance given to us by Captain Rajesh and Ms Asha Jangam.

Mr. Rupesh and captain Rajesh were very hospitable. Excellent service. We had to wait a bit for the lunch but it was very surprisingly too tasty. Frankly, we had not expected such taste here. The day, Bhindi, paneer was just outstanding. Non veg was also good, but could be more Spicer. Thank u so much.
Visited the Vidnyangad 360° Observatory in Tapola and had a great experience. The funicular ropeway ride to the top is smooth and enjoyable, giving lovely views on the way. The observatory itself offers stunning 360° views of the Koyna backwaters and hills. Peaceful, scenic, and definitely worth visiting if you’re in Tapola.
The food was excellent - just had to wait a little in the beginning. Overall, the dining experience at the 360 degree restaurant was truly wonderful. Captain Rajesh service was very fast and excellent - really appreciate it!! Chicken popcorn, paneer sabji.

Vidnyangad feels like a vibe! 😍 The 360° revolving restaurant is the coolest part — the whole floor slowly rotates while we eat! It makes you feel like you’re traveling without moving. The food is amazing, especially the starters and mocktails. The service staff are polite and quick, always smiling and super helpful. And the best part? The scenic beauty outside! The hills, the sky, the wind — perfect for reels and pics. I’d rate it 4.5/5, a must-visit with friends!
Experience nature with technology and delicious food at Vidnyangad. Especially scenic beauty of greenary and mountains. Heartwarm welcome and guidance by Mrs.Asha Jangam was very informative and friendly. The restaurant captain Rajesh gave a great food service. The food was very delicious with excellent quality. Guys you must try the homemade fruit jam served with breadbutter it is soooo yummy must try. The second wow.... dish was masala dosa and paneer paratha just loved it.
